Earl G. Griffin, 88, of Manteno, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 13, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Manteno, IL, with the service to start at 11:00am. Rev. David Peterman will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Main Street NW, Bourbonnais, IL Mr. Griffin was retired from Local 150. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was born August 17, 1930 in Martinton, IL, the son of Mark and Estella Wood Griffin. Earl was in the National Guard. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Manteno. He loved his motor cycles, gardening and spending time with his family. Surviving are is wife Bonnie O’Connor Griffin, who he married June 24, 2006 in Bradley, IL; a step-son, Richard Krick of Kankakee; 5 step daughter’s, Sue and Mike Metz of Ashkum, Donna and Jim Woolard of Braldey, Janice Lamnick of Bourbonnais, Brenda Simmons of Bourbonnais, Sondra Stone of Bradley; numerous grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Proceeding Earl in death are his parents, his first wife Julia Griffin, a step- son, Gerald Griffin and a step daughter, Darlene Griffin; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Cremation rites were accorded.
