Dorothy Odom, age 86 of Paris, TN, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris. She was a Christian. She worked as a nursing assistant at Henry County Nursing Home and was a foster parent for many years. Her loves were family, gardening, and animals. Dorothy was born October 11, 1932 in Paris, TN to the late Maxie T. McNeugh and the late Mary Jane Smith McNeugh. She was married in March of 1977 to Kelly A. Odom and he preceded in death in 1990. Dorothy is survived by five children, Eddie (Wanda) Snow of Puryear, TN, Kathy (Jim) Wimberley of Waddy, KY, Danny (Rey) Snow of New York, Beverly Anderson of Paris, TN, and Patsy Medlock of Paris, TN; four step-children, Betty Lambert of Springville, TN, Rita Sowell of Paris, TN, Kathy Odom of Knoxville, TN, and Ricky Odom of Springville, TN; one sister, Frances Borders of Michigan; 23 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by one brother, George Hickman; and 3 grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. She is to be cremated. No formal services are planned at this time. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Henry County Healthcare and Avalon Hospice who lovingly cared for her the last few years of her life.
