Smithfield: Ms. Dorothy Louise Rhodes Collins, age 90, of 271 Carissa Drive, died Monday, April 8, 2019 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. Graveside Service will be held 2:00-PM, Friday, April 12, 2019 at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery outside Four Oaks. Ms. Collins was born on August 21, 1928 in Johnston County to the late William Thomas and Pauline Johnson Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Anne Boehning; brother, Thomas Alfred Rhodes; sisters, Lucille Johnson and Pauline Elizabeth Barnes and a grandson, William Scott Archbell. Ms. Collins was a retired retail sales clerk and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Ellis of Smithfield; sons, Kenneth Hocutt of Four Oaks, and Leland Hocutt and wife, Nancy of Little River, SC; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home and immediately following the graveside service on Friday. Arrangements are by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC
