Dorothy Dean Allen, age 93, passed away just after midnight on Saturday morning, April 13, 2019. Dorothy was born in Brayton, Tennessee, (Soddy Daisy) on June 13, 1925, to the late Monroe and Elizabeth Smith Reel. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Riley Allen; son, Jerry Parker; brother, Acie Reel; sisters, Rose Baker, Gene Clark, and Georgia Gross; and grandchild, Angelina Parker. She is survived by her children, Faye Biggs, Kendall “Rooster” (Connie) Allen, Lynda Smith, David “Bugger” (Sherry) Allen, Ronnie Allen, and Wanda Joyce Richardson; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, April 15th, from 2pm to 7pm and on Tuesday, April 16th from 9am until service hour of 12noon. Serving as active pallbearers are Lynda Smith, Bugger Allen, Rooster Allen, Ronnie Allen, Frankie Parker, Sr., and Devin Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Biggs, Frankie Parker, Jr., Luke Allen, Eugene Crouch, Belinda Kirk, and Angela Williamson.
