Obituary of Donald Duffy Donald Duffy, of Lafayette Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the age of 87 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara, and his children, Donald (and Nancy), Patricia (and James Shacklett), Caryl (and Patrick Sabine) and James; his grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Stephen, Jamie, Sarah, Lily, Henry, Mackenzi and Maysen; and great grandchildren, Alivia, Hailey, Elizabeth, Grace and James. Don was born on February 14, 1932 in the Wissahickon section of Philadelphia to James and Jane (Holdsworth) Duffy and was the brother to James, Fred and Claire. He graduated from Roxborough High School in 1951. While in high school, he met the love of his life, Barbara Lois Fida, and they married in 1955. They would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on April 16th. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and upon his return began his career as a Tool and Die Designer at the Budd Company where he worked for 42 years. He was an avid golfer, Civil War buff, woodworker and all around great fellow who was loved by all that knew him. Please join us in celebrating his life at Saint Philip NeriChurch, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 on Friday, April 12th. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 at the church before Mass at 11:00. The interment will follow the funeral Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 235 Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428 In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in Donald Duffy’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517 www.support.woundedwarrierproject.org
