Dianna Kay (Gambrel) Merida, age 57, departed this life at her home in Barbourville, Kentucky on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. She was the daughter of R.P. and Susan Gambrel, born to them on August 25, 1961 at Mills, Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Wayne Merida and to this union two daughters were born. Dianna was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father R.P. Gambrel and daughter Chrissy Lynn Merida. Left behind to mourn her passing are her mother Susan Gambrel of Flat Lick, Kentucky, daughter Crystal Gail and husband Mark Powell of Corbin, Kentucky, granddaughter Ashley Nicole Hubbard, brother Curtis Gambrel of Flat Lick, Kentucky, sister Rita (Bargo) Dunford of Corbin, Kentucky, nephew Rodney Bargo and wife Stephanie of Harlan, Kentucky, niece Wendy (Bargo) Martin of Summerdale, Alabama, special aunt Hester Gambrel of Corbin, Kentucky. She leaves behind a host of many relatives and friends to mourn her passing. A Graveside Funeral service for Dianna Kaye Merida will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend Kenneth Merida officiating. She will be laid to rest in Binghamtown Cemetery at Flat Lick, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
