Christina’s Obituary AVA – Christina M. Malcom, 82, of Ava, passed away at 9:21 AM, Friday, April 26, 2019, at her home in Ava. Christina was born on September 6, 1936, in Belknap, Illinois, the daughter of William and Eunice (Mathis) Davault. Christina married William R. Malcom, on June 10, 1953, in Johnson County, Illinois, and they shared 54 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on February 13, 2008. She was a homemaker and a member of the Moose Lodge, Waukaugen, Illinois. Christina is survived by 1 son; Robert (Terri) Malcom, of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, 2 daughters; Elizabeth “Libby” (David) Duravdo, of Ava, Sue (Jack) Shales, Sr., of Wautona, Wisconsin, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Martin Davault, of Belknap, Illinois, Frances Davault, of Belknap, Illinois. Mrs. Malcom was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Wilson’s Funeral Home in Ava, with Rev. Dr. Scott Foshie officiating, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM.
