Carol M. Zavatsky Of Lincolnshire Carol M. Zavatsky was born November 27, 1941 in Chicago to Irving and Aline (nee Hirsch) Messinger. She died April 20, 2019 at Brentwood Healthcare Center in Deerfield. Carol worked as a Tax Consultant for H and R Block for over 35 years. She was a member of the Sassy Sisters Red Hat Society. She volunteered for many organizations. Carol is survived by her son Michael (Jackie) Zavatsky; her sons father Benny Zavatsky; her step children Sam (Linda) Zavatsky, Howard Zavatsky, and Janet Lowry; 1 grandson, 5 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren; her sisters Sue Taflinger and Gail (late Phil) Gill and by many nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by parents. Visitation Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private. Carol was an advocate for the empowerment of women.
