Paradise ~ Bonnie Horton, 85, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, April 22, 2019 in Bridgeport. Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Cottondale with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Rev. Louis Horton and Rev. Charles Pugh will officiate. Pallbearers include, Gilbert Horton, Brendan Horton, Brad Horton, Jacob Horton, Quentin Myers, Andrew Horton, and Blake Horton. Bonnie was born on November 19, 1933 to Jack and Laura (Collins) Gilbert in San Angelo. She was united in marriage to J.D. Horton on December 27, 1950 in San Angelo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.D. Horton in 1981 Those left behind to cherish her memories are her sons, Homer Horton and wife Kathy of Paradise, Louis Horton and wife Joyce of Decatur, Richard Horton and wife Ollie of Paradise, and David Horton and wife Pam of Decatur; her grandchildren, Gilbert, Carrie, Misty, Kara, Brendan, Brad, Jacob, Alissa, Heather, and Lindsay; her 19 great-grandchildren; her 1 great-great- grandchild; her sister, Audrey Darnell; her brother, Marvin Gilbert; numerous nieces, nephew, and a host of friends.
