A retired salesman with Volunteer Hose & Gasket in Nashville, TN and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late H.B. and Jessie Thompson Barnes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Steve Barnes. He is survived by cousins, Faye and Curtis Brown and family and Dicky and Janice Gilispie and family. Mr. Barnes loved motorcycle racing, and was an excellent photographer and an avid outdoorsman. He made many tours across the United States on his motorcycle.
