Betty A. (Slusser) Brandau, age 65, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at her Scott Twp. home where she lived for over 8 years. She was born on Sunday, October 25, 1953 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Adrian L. Slusser, Sr. and Elizabeth Anne (Simmons) Slusser Adams. Betty graduated from the Burlington County Vo Tech, Burlington, NJ in 1971. On September 16, 1972, Betty married her loving husband, Ian M. Brandau. During her husband’s military career of over 20 years, Betty was employed at various jobs in retail and food service industry. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Bloomsburg where she served as a Sunday Service Reader and sang in the choir. She was also a member of Monica’s Heart Greyhound Rescue and Adoption. Betty enjoyed spending her time reading, playing organ keyboard, being with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by a grandson, Donovan W. Brandau, and two sisters in law, Antoinette M. Slusser and Jo Marie Slusser. Survivors include her beloved husband of 46 years, Ian M. Brandau at home, a daughter, Heather A. wife of Aaron McHenry of Bloomsburg, a son, Adrian S. Brandau, D.O. and wife Debbi of Sayre, six grandchildren, Ryan D. McHenry, Sarah M. McHenry, Jakob M. McHenry, Isaac M. McHenry, Jamison S. Brandau, Henry P. Brandau, five brothers, Stephen L. Slusser of Hershey, Robert A. Slusser and wife Kathy of Bloomsburg, Dean Wade Slusser and wife Beth Ann of Mt. Carmel, Dale Wayne Slusser and wife Susan of Asheville, NC, Adrian L. Slusser, Jr. of Bloomsburg, and a sister, Brenda L. wife of Tim Landis of Bloomsburg. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, East Main and Iron Streets, Bloomsburg. Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Strader Sasser, and Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating.
