Greenville – Bertice Ray Edwards, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2pm in the Smith Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Bertice, a lifelong resident of Pitt County, was a co-owner of Edwards Logging. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Rawls Edwards. He is survived by his children, Frances Sills, Loretta Gonzalez, Ann Edwards, Ray Edwards, and Doug Edwards and wife Tania; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
