Arlene’s Obituary Arlene L. (Hiltz) Hiller, 78, of Wallingford, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Westfield Care and Rehab in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of David L. “Tubby” Hiller of 53 years. She was born in Boston, MA, August 5, 1940, a daughter of the late Spencer and Dorothy Hiltz. Arlene was an active member of St John the Evangelist Episcopal church for 40 years serving on the vestry and fundraising committees. She was also an integral part of the committee that ran the Wallingford Community Holiday Dinner program for 30 years. She was the Executive Director of the Conn Cogeneration Society for 32 years which became the Conn Power and Energy Society. Her greatest joys in life were watching her grandchildren play sports and spending time with her family and friends at the Otis Reservoir in Otis, MA which was her favorite place to be. In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her children, Dawn Hiller and her life partner Nick Poccia, and Glenn Hiller and his wife Diane; and her grandchildren, Joshua Brassell and Darren Hiller. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Pfnausch. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Sunday, May 5, from 12 pm to 4 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 10 am directly at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 360 Church St., Wallingford, CT 06492.Interment will be private.
