Antonio O. Fernandes, 74, of Taunton, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Morton Hospital. He was born in Sao Jorge, Azores, the son of the late Antonio O. and Maria (Texeira) Fernandes. He came to the United States in 1975 and began working at Princess House as a machine operator and then as a landscaper for many years until he retired several years ago. Survivors are a daughter; Nellie Fernandes of Taunton; two sons: Gary Fernandes of Taunton and Tony Fernandes of Taunton; along with several siblings, nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 9am, from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am, in Saint Anthony Church, School Street, Taunton. Burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Calling Hours are Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 4-6pm, in the funeral home.
