Annetta’s Obituary Annetta Faye Buseman was born December 2, 1922 on a farm near Davis, South Dakota to Henry and Tillie (Poppinga) Bartels. She entered her heavenly home Monday, April 22, 2019 and is safely in the arms of her Savior whom she loved and served all her life. As a young girl, Annetta cleaned houses and took care of children. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Chancellor where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and CBY. Annetta married Henry Buseman on January 14, 1946 at her parents’ home. They were blessed with four sons. After the death of her two-year-old son she turned her attention to working outside full-time with Hank and her sons. She continued to work hard on the farm until she entered the Centerville Care & Rehab Center in February of 2015. She had a generous, giving spirit; a love for life and her family and an infectious smile. Annetta could often be heard singing and knew the old hymns by heart. She loved it when her family came to visit and Annetta was affectionately known as “Grandma Hank”. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, Galen; two grandsons, Kelly and Lance Buseman; four brothers, Herman, Hilbert, Gerbert and Roger Bartels; sister-in-law, Daloris Bartels and brothers-in-law, Cecil Neeman and Elmer Gerdes. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dennis of Viborg, Marvin (Joyce) of Centerville and Darvin (Darletta) of Milliken, CO; her grandchildren, Amy (Tom) Erickson, Jodi (Jason) Lounsbery, Aaron (Jasmine) Buseman, Dawn Buseman, Todd (Norma) Buseman and Nikki (Glover) Howard; 18 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, her sisters, Mildred Neeman and Viola Gerdes; sisters-in-law, Leola, Verna and Jan Bartels, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 1PM Friday, April 26, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Chancellor with burial to follow at Chancellor Baptist Cemetery.
