Anne (Barker) Franks, 94, of New Britain, widow of Victor Franks, passed away Sunday (April 21, 2019) surrounded by her family. Born in Decatur, IL, she is a former Ithaca, NY resident, moving to New Britain in 2002. Anne raised minature horses for autistic children. She was an Army wife for 20 years, and traveled all over the world. She is member of South Church in New Britain; was a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry at the church; as well as a member of the Women of South Church. Surviving is a son, Charles Franks and his wife Cathy of Crockett, KY; three daughters, Kathleen Kvinde and her husband James Donahoe of Memphis, NY; Carrie Kluge and her husband Robert of McGraw, NY; and Leslie Paladino and her husband Carmine of New Britain; six grandsons; 11 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday (April 26, 2019) 10 AM at South Church, 90 Main Street, New Britain. Private interment of the ashes will be in the South Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Church. The Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain is assisting with arrangements.
