Anna M. (Sweeney) Farella, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 while staying at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born on October 20, 1928 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Hawkins) Sweeney. Anna attended schools in Canada and came to Niagara Falls, NY in the late 1940’s. She was employed as an inspector for Carborundum. Anna was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, where she worshiped at the St. Joseph Church site. She enjoyed sewing. Anna is survived by a son, Michael (Judy) Farella; grandchildren, Victor and Kyle (April) Eydt and Amy (Brian) DeLaFleur; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Sweeney and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Dominic J. Farella; children, Joseph Farella and Marguerite “Marnie” (Victor) Eydt and 3 sisters. Private prayers of committal and interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R. Goodlander of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME.
