Ann was born November 11, 1926 in Louisville, KY, daughter of the late Edwin Hodge and Dorothy Gregory Woolfolk. Her brother, Dr. Patch Woolfolk; sister, Jane Jordon; and grandson, Brian Shehan also preceded her in death. Ann was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church and was the owner of Ann’s Fabrics for a number of years. She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, John Allie English of Brandenburg; six children: Priscilla (Larry) Pursiful of Louisville, KY, John Edwin (Mickey) English of Alexandria, VA, Jennifer (Glenn) Whyte of Elizabethtown, KY, Samuel Patch (Kim) English of Corydon, IN, David Allie (Jodi) English of Louisville, KY, and Elizabeth Ellen (Tim) Clark of Lexington, KY; sister-in-law, Mariam Woolfolk of Lexington, KY; brother-in-law, Kenneth Jordon of Brandenburg, KY; grandchildren: Teri Gardner, Mimi Wilson, Jed English, Will English, Jessica Caster, Adam English, Brady Jo English, Allie English, Isaac English, Chase Clark, and Cole Clark, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM EST at Buck Grove Baptist Church in Ekron, KY with burial to follow in Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM EST from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and Monday, January 28 after 10:00 AM EST at the church.
