Andrew James Tower, age 37 of Clarksville and formerly of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 25, 2019. Andy was born on April 11, 1982, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Jim and Carol (Leland)Tower. He graduated from Rockford High School in 2000 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University in 2005. Andy was currently working at Allen Edwin Homes as a Project Manager. He was very involved in sports and enjoyed coaching his son’s various teams and was an active member of the Grand Rapids Jeep Club. Andy will be remembered as a committed and loving husband, a dedicated father, and an awesome son. He will be deeply missed and cherished. He is survived by his wife of 14 years and partner of 22 years, Jennifer (Totten) Tower of Clarksville; his three sons, Eli, Hudson, and Gavin Tower, all at home; his parents, Jim and Carol Tower of Comstock Park; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randy and Sandy Totten; his brother-in-law, Cris (Sarah) Totten; and his nieces and nephew, Skylar, Jace, and Lily Totten, all of Rockford. He was preceded in death by four children who miscarried prior to the birth of their first son and his grandparents and aunts and uncles. A funeral service to celebrate Andy’s life will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N Monroe Street in Rockford. Pastor Dick Riley will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Pederson Funeral Home. The family will also receive visitors one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations in Andy’s name can be given to the Tower family.
