Allyson Ballard, born June 21, 1959 to mother Madeline Carlene Moretti and father Robert Ray Crook in Stayton, Oregon, has passed away due to complications with Rheumatoid Arthritis on March 31, 2019. Allyson Ballard was a compassionate care taker, a wonderful mother, a loving wife, and a fantastic sister. Throughout her life she held many jobs but none as important as the role of steward and role model of altruism, patience, compassion and kindness she played in the lives of her family and all those close to her, especially in the life of her grandson. Psalm 90 verse 9 says, “We spend our years as a tale that is told.” Allyson’s tale is one of love, laughter, joy and service to others. Allyson was the type of person who ignored the clouds to find the ray of sunshine. She never complained about her health circumstances, as she was more concerned about her family and others. If she was in pain or didn’t feel well, you would never know it. Allyson laughed hard, was very generous and loved with all of her heart. She had the most beautiful hands because her hands were always working for the benefit for others, taking care of her family, and being a blessing to her friends. She was always looking for ways to help someone. Either through a card, sharing words of encouragement, or by rolling up her sleeves to help out in any way that she could. Allyson accepted who she was and the situations that came her way. Not many of us can say that. Allyson rolled with life’s punches and was a “what you see is what you get” type of gal. Allyson lived her life to the fullest: whether it was decorating her house for the holidays or birthdays, watching a Bronco’s football game, catching bigger fish than Bill or baking cookies with Braiden. She enjoyed her life and made sure those around her enjoyed theirs too. She was a guiding light for anyone who was around her. Her strength, perseverance, patience, genuineness, kindness, compassion, and caring for others was second to none. She touched the lives of countless individuals who came in contact with her. A smile from her was enough to cheer up anyone. Allyson was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. She was a truly wonderful human being, and she will be sorely missed. Allyson was one of a kind and this world has lost one of its brightest stars. She loved and was loved by so many people. All of us will cherish her memory and anyone who met her is now better for it. Allyson Ballard is survived by her sisters Barbara Kay Aquino and Tracy Ann Hemington, her brother Mark Allen Crook, her husband Willis (Bill) Ballard, her two sons Troy and Jacob Ballard, and her grandson Braiden Ballard. There are no public services planned, and in lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her name.
