Hillsborough Alan Carl Moskowitz 91, died April 5, 2019. Alan was born in Bound Brook and formerly of Somerville before moving to Hillsborough 40 years ago. He was employed as an Optician in Somerville for over 30 years, retiring In 1986. Alan was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. In his spare time, he enjoyed flying after receiving his Pilots License, fishing, and building furniture for all of his family members. Alan will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Eleanor, daughters Betsy Mintzer and Caren Moskowitz, brother Dr. William Moskowitz, grandchildren Marissa Donnelly, and Ethan and Seth Mintzer, and great grandson Lander Hudson Donnelly. Graveside services will be 11am Sunday at Temple Sholom Cemetery in Bridgewater. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
