Obituary of William Donald “Bill” Allen William Donald “Bill” Allen, 80, of Pontiac, Missouri, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Allen, son of the late Lyman and Opal (Murray) Allen, was born March 25, 1938, in St. Louis. He had been a tool and die maker. Bill enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and had been a guide for 22 years on Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas and Missouri. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Allen was a ten-year veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict with the occupation forces in Germany and France. He was married to Norma Edmonds in Doniphan, Missouri, and she survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Richard Allen of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Michael Allen of O’Fallon, Missouri; 1 sister, Glenna Frost of Maryland;2 brothers, Jerry Allen of Anderson, Indiana, and John Allen of Pocahontas, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Mitchel, Justin, Brittany and Allison; and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery.
