Weldon “Tuck” Tucker March 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Weldon Thomas Tucker (“Tuck” or “Pop”) went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 6, 2019. He was the son of Frank and Alvina Tucker and was born on October 17, 1936. He was a native of the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas, where he worked for Dreyfus and Son as a clothier and later became a real estate broker for the firm of Hudson and Hudson in Dallas. He attended Adamson High School, where he met the love of his life, Pat (Honey) Maples. It was love at first sight as they married in 1953 and enjoyed 62 years of faithful marriage. They were members of the 2X2 Sunday School class at Tyler Street United Methodist Church. The 2X2 classmates remained friends forever. The Texas Hill Country was calling to Tuck since the young age of 15. In 1990, he and Honey answered the call and moved to the Beaver Bend Ranch in Hilda, Texas, where they joined the Hilda United Methodist Church and were active members throughout the remainder of their lives. Honey and Pop created lasting friendships in the Doss, Mason and Hilda communities. The ranch was Tuck’s second love of his life, and the third was playing golf at Comanche Creek Golf Course with friends as well as fishing and hunting with family on the ranch. Pop was a loving husband and father, as well as a friend to so many people. He is survived by three children, son Mike Tucker and wife Marilyn, daughter Gaya Tucker, and son Tommy Tucker and wife Diann. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 greeat-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, at 1:00 p.m. at Hilda United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Hilda Cemetery.
