Vernice Vicky S Lucas of Indianapolis Indiana October 13 1924 March 9 2019

Vernice “Vicky” S. Lucas, 94, of Indianapolis passed away March 9, 2019. She was born in Bowling Green, KY on October 13, 1924 to James and Pearl Stone. Vicky was a member of Villa Baptist Church. She loved the holidays, going to the horse track, carnations, the color red and most of all her family. Vicky also enjoyed sending and receiving greeting cards and looking through family photographs. Throughout her life, she also collected roosters. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Stone and siblings, Rodney, Thelma and Evelyn. Vicky is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Cephis Lucas; daughters, Sherry Tabor and Darla (Dewey) Ferguson; grandchildren, Tommy Tabor, Brandon Trammel, Amber Martin, Darcy Martin, Devin Condon and Tarin Condon; great grandchildren, Bryce, Brooke, Jaylin, Bridget, Maddie, Layla, Colton, and Jack. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
