Rogersville: Stella Mae Trent Eidson, of Rogersville, passed away, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ballad Health Hawkins County Memorial Hospital after a brief time of declining health. Her family will miss her, but rejoices in knowing she doesn’t suffer anymore. Stella was born November 16, 1930 the oldest daughter in a family of nine children and devoted her early years to being a good aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. It took her 55 years to marry Eddie Lee Eidson. The happy couple never had any children together. Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Eidson; parents, Luther and Martha Ann Wallace Trent; brothers, Guy Lee Trent, Charles “June” Trent and Malcum “Jim” Trent; sisters-in-law, Ruth Kite Trent and Burnell Ballard Trent; brothers-in-law, Max Lowe and Homer Tackett. Survivors include her sisters, Geraldine Lowe, Imogene Hoard and husband, James, Kathleen McPeek and husband, Robert, Wanda Tackett and Linda Hoard and husband, Harold all of Rogersville; sister-in-law, Evelyn Trent of Morristown; many nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Trent officiating. Burial will follow in Kite Cemetery.
