Samuel Eugene “Spook” Clark, age 85 of Lewisburg died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at NHC Coolsprings. Spook was a native of Culleoka, Tn, and he was the son of the late Lloyd and Ida Jones Clark. He was a retired rural mail carrier, a member and elder of the Farmington Church of Christ, a veteran of the US Army, and former coach of the Dixie Youth H&S and Marshall County Spookette softball teams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Orr Clark, sisters, Ethel Warren, Erma Blackburn, Elizabeth Maupin, and Evelyn Clark, and brothers, Earl and Ewing Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Clark Tidwell of Franklin, grandson, Garrett Samuel Tidwell, granddaughter, AnnaGrace Ashlee Tidwell, brother in laws, James Maupin and Chuck Warren, and sister in laws, Martha Short, Shelia Orr, and June Orr. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial with military honors to follow in Temple Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday until the funeral hour. London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
