Obituary of Shirley A. Tibbles Shirley A. Tibbles, 58, formerly of Sackets Harbor and Dexter, passed away March 13, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Hartford surrounded by her family. Shirley was born September 15, 1960 in Watertown the daughter of Andrew and Pauline Gamble Cronk. She graduated from General Brown Central School and later married Albert Tibbles on June 25, 1960. She worked as a caregiver for most of her adult life, ending her career at JRC in Watertown for several years before becoming ill and going to a rehabilitation facility in Utica a year ago. Shirley enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafts, and loved Elvis. She loved to cook and spend time with her children, grandchildren and large extended family. She especially loved to drive, no matter the destination. Surviving are her parents Andrew Cronk and Pauline Gamble. Her children Michael Tibbles and his girlfriend Kelly LaRose, Kathy Tibbles and “bonus daughter” Jamee McIntosh. Her siblings and significant others are: Andrew and Leanne Cronk, Rosanne and James Hatch, Allen Cronk, Jeffrey and Doris Cronk, Gordon and Krista Cronk, Leanne Cronk, Tina Gamble, Brenda Gamble, Homer Gamble, Missy Utery, and Lillian Gamble. Grandchildren are Travis, Earl, Jazmine, Dylan, Kaelyn, Savannah and Bella. She also has several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Tibbles, her stepmother Diana Cronk and her step father Homer Gamble. A memorial service will be held Friday March 22nd at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter at 1:00 PM. She will be cremated. There are no calling hours.
