Shelba Jean Wells, 81, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital St Peters, Missouri. She was born December 20, 1937, in Lake City, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Wint and Clara Hickman. She was united in marriage to Bud Wells on May 12, 1956 in Hernado, Mississippi and to this union one daughter and one son was born. She worked as a seamstress for Fancy Free and was primarily a homemaker. Shelba enjoyed crafting, especially making dolls. She was an animal lover, took great pride in caring for her horses and enjoyed horse back riding. Shelba liked gardening and baking pies and cakes for her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bud Wells of Troy, MO; one son and one daughter: Jerry Wells and wife Dawn of Maryland Heights, MO and Tina Wells of St. Charles, MO; one brother, James Hickman and wife Zona of FL; five grandchildren: Tara Fischer, Amanda Riggs, Abby Fischer, Zach Wells and Sarah Berg; fourteen grandchildren: Haley, Michael, Jason, Samantha, Phoebe, Sophia, Lucy, Brayden, Aliyah, Theo, Isiah, Cecilia, Stella and Gracie; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Pat, Linda, Sandy, Bob and Butch.
