Robert W. Roan Jr., 84, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Ohesson Manor. Born Aug. 22, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Anna M. (McClellan) Roan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donata McKnight, on June 5, 2014, and his brother, Donald E. Roan, on Oct. 30, 2017. Robert is survived by: a daughter, Roberta Casner and husband, Eldon, of Lewistown; son-in-law, Jeffrey McKnight, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Curtis McKnight and wife, Tiffany, and Megan McKnight, both of Lewistown; great-grandchildren, Colton Lynn McKnight, Jayden Paul McKnight, and Josiah Scott Herb; his sister, Judy (Roan) Hannon, of Frankford, Del.; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Roan, of Lady Lake, Fla. Robert was an Army veteran. He locally owned and operated Roan’s ARCO Service Station for many years. Robert later retired as a repairman from Grumbine’s RV Sales and Service in Harrisburg. Robert was an avid fly fisherman and hunter. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Church Hill Cemetery in Reedsville, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown. Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
