Rayburn “Ray” Farris Mayfield, Jr., age 63, passed away on March 9, 2019, at Creekside Health and Rehab Center in Madison, Tennessee. Ray was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 11, 1955, to the late Rayburn Farris Mayfield, Sr. and Cella Marie Jones Mayfield. He was a heavy equipment operator for Jones Brothers Construction (formerly Titan). Ray is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Mayfield. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Kay Mayfield; daughters, Sandy (Harold) Tucker and Stephanie (Bubba) Legon; brothers, Jamie (Sue) Biggs and Tommy Biggs; sisters, Mary Jo (Ed) Castleman, Retha (Ronnie) Parrish and Leann (Ronnie) Lydick; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 14, 2019, at 3pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cecil Boswell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14th, from 10am until 3pm service hour.
