Rogersville: Polly Catherine Swinford, age 96 of Rogersville, passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2019. She was a member of Rogersville Church of Christ. Polly was a loving, kind Christian woman who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Swinford; parents, John and Mary Williams; sisters, Susie Garland, Rose Young and Georgie Knisley; grandson, Tony Stonerock; great-granddaughter, Ashley Stonerock. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Emmert of Buffalo, MO and Jacqueline Nelson and husband, Bart of Rogersville; grandchildren, Debbie Cotrell, Rick Stonerock, Holly Harris and Zachary Nelson; eight great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins Visitation hours will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dathan Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
