Paul Johnson Main, 81, longtime resident of Warrensburg, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at DMH. Born March 30, 1937 in Loveland, Ohio, son of Herbert and Lucille (Johnson) Main of Olney, Illinois. Paul was married to Joy Morgan Main who died June 7th, 2010. He is survived by his daughters, Vivian Bandy of DeKalb, IL and Suzanne Lynch of Tarpon Springs, FL, four grandchildren: Sam Bandy of Dekalb, IL, Paula Bandy of Dacula, GA, Kirk Lynch of Appalachicola, FL, and Kaitlyn Jansen of Tarpon Springs, FL, his great grandchildren, and his extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Da Burg Bar and Grill (a favorite of Paul’s) in Warrensburg, on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:00pm. Paul was a lifelong teacher and retired from WLHS in 1992. Paul produced many shows including the regionally famous Then and Now. A lifelong musician, Paul played many instruments and served as a bass player in several bands. He also enjoyed sharing his time with the local chapter of the Lion’s Club. In leui of flowers, please make a memorial donation in his name to the Friends of WILL (PBS Arts & Education) 300 N. Goodwin Ave., Urbana, IL 61801 or to the Warrensburg Lion’s Club, Box 282 Warrensburg, IL 62573.
