Michael Joseph Anderson of Rolla, Mo. passed away on March 12, 2019 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Mo. He was 65 years, 9 months and 6 days of age. Michael Anderson was born on June 5, 1953 in Ironton, Mo., to his parents: Roy Benjamin and Velma Elizabeth Orr Anderson. Michael Anderson is survived by one daughter: Katrina Anderson of Rush City, Minnesota; one brother: Lindel Anderson of Rolla, Mo.; and sister: Denise Burke and husband Augie of St. James, along with nieces and nephews: Linda Blair, Otto Burke, Tera Anderson, great nieces and nephews: Colton and Lillianna, Sarah Blair and Kyllian and Trystan; and Landyn. Michael Anderson served 20 years in the United States Navy and is a life member of the VFW along with a member of the St. James VFW 5608 and has served as the Commander and many offices of the VFW. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be conducted at 11.a.m. Monday March 18, 2019 at Waynesville Veterans Cemetery at Waynesville, Mo. Family and friends will gather at the Jones Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Monday March 18, 2019 and will be escorted to the Cemetery by the Patriot Guard Riders.
