Marvin William Walker, age 76 of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living & Memory Care in Knoxville, TN. He was born May 24, 1942, in Paris, TN, to the late William Delbert Walker and the late Lula Mae Patterson Walker. Marvin was proud to have served his country by serving in the United States Army, something he considered his duty and honor. He is survived by his children, Melody Ann Walker of Paris, TN, Samuel Marvin (Buffy) Walker of Madison, AL, and Benjamin William Walker of Fort Hood, TX; grandchildren, Ethan Walker, Ryan Walker, Molly Walker, Grace Walker and Maggie Walker; his beloved pets Pistol and Charlie; and special friends Cheryl Cowan, her family, and the Joyce/Tussey family. The body is to be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, March 29, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN, with Leon Ridgeway officiating. Burial of cremains will follow the graveside service in Rose Lawn Memory Garden. Marvin’s family wishes to thank the caregivers that he had at Prosperity Pointe and Smoky Mountain Hospice.
