With deepest sorrow, we announce that Mark Joseph Richards, Jr., 37, most loved son and brother, passed away on March 27, 2019. Joe was born in Prince Frederick, Md. on April 13, 1981. He graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School where he was a member of the golf team. Joe was a competitor, a profound animal lover, an avid fisherman, a crabber, a believer, and a fierce friend. Joe will be missed everyday by his Father, Mark Joseph Richards, Sr., his Mother, Nanci Hammond Richards, brothers Brian and Ian, sisters-in-law, Etta and Heather, his grandmother, Josephine Coker Hammond and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. “Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak, and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid; one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.” Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fellows, Helfenbein & Newman, 106 Shamrock Road, Chester, MD 21619 where Joe’s viewing will be held on Sunday, March 31st from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am on Monday, April 1st at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 1861 Harbor Drive, Chester, MD.
