Interment will follow at Laurel Land in Dallas, Texas At the tender age of 14, Mark met Beverly Thompson at T. W. Browne Junior High . Their love story would prove to be a “love ever after” romance. Even at a young age, they knew they would spend their lives together. They were totally devoted to each other and enjoyed each other. Mark began his career at Tom Thumb at the age of 15 as a sack boy and for the next 44 years, he worked his way up to warehouse management. At the age of 59, Mark retired due to his illness, myotonic dystrophy. But he didn’t mind retiring because it gave him more time to spend with his precious Zoe. A loving father, Mark loved spending time with Matt, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was always amazed by his dance moves. (Did you know Mark’s favorite dance was the tango?) Mark was especially proud that his son was a responsible young man at an early age with a strong work ethic . Mark loved Matt for being unique and confident. Anna was Daddy’s little girl. Is it any surprise she had him wrapped around her little finger? Mark always would say that one of the things he loved most was Anna’s beautiful heart. He loved her one-of-a-kind laugh. Then there was Zoe, the light of his life, his sunshine who delighted in taking care of her PawPaw when he needed something. She brought him joy every day of their time together. Mark LOVED his family. His mom would make sure that Beverly prepared his favorite foods. (You might say he was a bit of a Mama’s boy.) Mark and Bev’s family spent hours upon hours together . All the families would even share holidays together as one huge, happy family. Great times were often shared over a home-cooked meal (wonder if those included Mama’s recipes?) He would refer to his family as his friends, too. Early in Mark and Beverly’s marriage, they became lifelong friends of Mike and Debbie Barton. As their kids got older, they were shocked to learn they weren’t related by blood. Deedee referred to Mark as “Uncle Mark” and Mike and Mark spent many an hour fishing on the lake or tossing a tennis ball back and forth (just to drive their wives crazy). What an adventurer Mark was-from family vacations and cruises, to romantic weekend getaways with Beverly and especially RVing with their best buds Rick and Kathy (his phone buddy). Camping brought out Mark’s relaxed, laid-back style and deep laughter. Mark loved his Lord and his church of 30 years. For 20 of those years, his home group became just like family you visited with once a week. (You know who you are and you know Mark appreciated your prayers, care, love, and support.) Of course, Mark loved and respected his country, America . But the USA was not his home. Mark has hurried to his heavenly home and that breaks our hearts that he left far too soon. But, we rejoice in knowing that one day we will see him again. He will probably be wearing a straw hat and a tropical shirt along with a beaming smile and an outstretched hand to welcome us to paradise. Mark will be greatly missed and fondly remembered until we see him again. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11 ESV) Preceded in death by his parents, Mason and Janelle Deibler, niece Stevie, brother Mike, and aunt Myrna. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly Deibler; children Anna Robins and Matthew Deibler; grandchild Zoe Robins; siblings Cyndi Stratton and husband Brian, and Crystal Lamon; nieces Lacey, Stephanie, and Madison; nephews Mitchell, Steven, Christopher, Philip, Graham, and Nicolas; aunt Diane Carson; cousins Callie Loes, Debbie Hooper, Susan Carson, David Deibler, Pam & Craig Nolan; in-laws Sam Thompson, Jr. and wife Alice; Marilyn Wiegand and husband Jerry, and Brenda Pigg; numerous friends and extended family, including Grace Covenant Church, Home Group, and beloved friends Mike & Debbie and Rick & Kathy.
