Obituary of Marion Kerfoot Marion R. Kerfoot of Roanoke died Wednesday, February 27, 2019. The daughter of Miller M. and Ruth Sowers Reed, she was born in Roanoke on September 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace R. Kerfoot; her son, David Neil Victorine, and her stepson, Charles Kerfoot. A 1949 graduate of Jefferson High School, Marion graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1953 from Memorial and Crippled Children’s Hospital. She retired from Carilion as a surgical nurse. Marion is survived by her son Dane E. Victorine and his wife, Lynne; stepdaughter, Mary Kerfoot and her partner, Kathi Havitz; stepdaughter-in-law Billie Victorine Kerfoot; step-granddaughter Dr. Erin Kerfoot and her husband, Dr. Ryan McGlothlin; nieces Bonnie Victorine Orr (Hal) and Donna Victorine; nephews Mike and Greg Victorine, and many deeply treasured friends. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Christ Lutheran Church 2011 Brandon Avenue SW with the Rev. David Skole officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
