Katherine Smock, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Brookdale Senior Living in Clarksville, Tennessee. Katherine was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, on June 9, 1927, to the late Ernest and Cassie Balthrop Watts. She was a member of Oaklawn Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired cafeteria worker at Cheatham County High School. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Smock; son, Kenny Smock; daughters, Joy Smock Head and Shelia Smock; and brothers, Robert and Vincent Watts. She is survived by her four grandchildren, Marla (Scott) Whalen, Lindsay (Charlie) Manning, Jesse Smock and Joanna (Reed) Barnett; son-in-law, Wayne Head and daughter-in-law, Shana Louallen Smock. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Derek Batts officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s UMC Cemetery in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, March 25th from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, March 26th from 10am until service hour of 2pm.
