Obituary for Karen J. Gross (Rickard) Karen J. Gross, 62, Huntingdon, passed away Saturday March 16, 2019 at AristaCare at Huntingdon Park. She was born November 13, 1956 in Altoona, daughter of the late Gordon D. and Dorothy L (Campbell) Rickard. On May 13, 1989, she married David Lee Gross at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2004. Surviving are a brother, Mark L Rickard of Harrisburg; three sisters, Patricia A. Delozier, and husband, Gregory L., Sr. of Roaring Spring and their children, Rachel A. and Gregory L. Jr.; Susan J. Sipe of Claysburg and her children, Deanna M. Sidney and Kaitlyn S. McCollom; and Kimberly R. Heverly and husband, Thomas P. of Duncansville, and their children, Kelcie R. Waite and Colleen L. She was preceded in death by brother in law, Richard Sipe. She was a licensed practical nurse. Karen was a member of Bible Missionary Church and a graduate of missionary school. Although she never served abroad, she was a witness for her Lord and Savior wherever she was and with any chance she was given. Karen was very artistic and especially enjoyed drawing, painting and doing crafts. Her greatest love was her nephew and nieces. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, Pastor J. Richard Lehman officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
