Joseph Louis DelSordo, MD, 86, of Ocean Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newark and lived in Ocean Township for 52 years. He practiced as a family physician for over five decades in the Ocean Township and Asbury Park communities. Joseph was a captain in the NJ National Guard and member of the National Medical Association. He was an avid golfer and a founding member of the Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Frances DelSordo and his sister, Virginia Conte. Surviving are his wife, Maureen; children, Kathy Loizos and her husband James, Joseph DelSordo, Jr. and his wife Joni, Gina Molloy and her husband Robert and Christopher DelSordo and his wife Jaya; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Anne Marie, John, Jenna and her husband Dillon, Joseph, Daniel, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Robert James and Joseph Aloysius; nieces and nephews, Lorraine, Louis, and Andrew Conte and Linda Manzo Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 1-4 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township.
