Johanna E Jo Baker Erickson 1917 2019

Obituary for Johanna E. “Jo” Baker (Erickson) Baker, Johanna E. (nee Erickson), passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on March 29, 2019. Beloved wife of the late H.K. Baker, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. In her 101 years, Jo was fortunate to have seen many advances in the world, traveled frequently, had wonderful friendships and made many memories. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, social gatherings and always had a book in her hand. Jo believed that no holiday was complete without a full table. She nourished the people around her with love, and no one left her house hungry. Giving back to the world and volunteerism were very important in her life. The Society for the Blind held a special place in her heart. Her family will miss her fierce and steadfast personality and will always think of her when we see a butterfly. Funeral service Tues., April 2, 2019, 10 a.m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday.
