Joan (Valentino) Berube, 75, of Tiverton, passed into eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Richard E. Berube for the past 56 years. He always referred to his wife as “Hollywood Beautiful”. She was employed by Lawson Products for many years. Besides her loving husband, she leaves behind five children, Joanne Gosselin, Russell Berube, Richard Berube, Jennifer Perry, and Jeffrey Berube, all of Tiverton; A sister, Linda DeMello of New Bedford; Seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Barbara Farias and the daughter of the late Manuel and Louise (Oliveira) Valentino. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at a time to be announced at Saint Theresa’s Church, Stafford Rd. Tiverton. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Ataxia Foundation, 600 Highway 169 South,Suite 1725,Minneapolis, MN 55426.
