Jennifer Michele Supplee, 34, of Newport, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Carolina East Hospital in New Bern, NC. Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. James United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Linda Taylor and Rev. Ben Ball. A private interment will take place at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport. Jennifer was a 2003 graduate of West Carteret where she enjoyed being in the West Carteret Marching Band. She continued her education at East Carolina University where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2008. Jennifer adored her fur baby, Chloe Bug, who she kept close by her side as much as possible. Both sets of her grandparents were a special joy in her life, she enjoyed spending time with them Down East and in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Among her other interests, she was a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes and UNC Tar Heels. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and most especially she loved being with her family and friends. Jennifer was a beautiful, talented young lady who had a big heart and wanted to help everyone. She is survived by her mother, Jo Ann O’Rourke and husband Michael of Newport; father, Rev. Tom Supplee and wife Myra of Newport; sister, Ellis Siddons and husband Blake of Newport; brothers, Joel Supplee and wife Carolina of Wake Forrest, Jeremy Supplee and wife Sarah of Havelock and Jack Manning and wife Kathy of Ashville; special friend, Will McKay; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Connie and Dollie Gillikin; paternal grandparents, W.R and Joanne Supplee; and cousin, Connie Gillikin, IV The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. James United Methodist Church.
