Jeffrey Leroy “Jeff” Potter age 62 of Ovid, MI, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Hall in Ovid on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 3-6 p.m. Jeffrey was born in Lansing, MI on June 10, 1956 the son of William Jethro and Lillian Darlene (Scott) Potter. Jeff married Tina Hoover on April 10, 1976. Tina passed away in 2006. Jeff resided most of his life in Ovid. Jeff loved to ride his Harley’s. He enjoyed going camping and spending time with his friends and family. Jeff will always be remembered for his generosity and fixing all of the equipment for the Greater Michigan Search and Rescue. He was known to socialize with his friends at the Main Bar in Ovid. He is survived by his son Jason and Brenda Johnson of Harrison, MI; son Zac Potter and Stacy Davis of Ovid, MI; son Josh and Alicia Potter of DeWitt, MI; daughter Salita Potter of Ovid, MI; son Nathan Potter and Chara Johnson of Ovid, MI; son Luke and Tammy Britten Potter of Okemos, MI; 8 grandchildren;1 great-grandchild; brother Dwayne and Roxie Potter of Harrison, MI; sister Heidi and Charles Olger of Owosso, MI; sister Leesa Potter of Perry, MI; sister Ellie Potter and Donnie Hill of Owosso, MI; brother Billy Potter of Owosso, MI; and mother-in-law Sharon Hoover of DeWitt, MI. Jeff is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and father-in-law Charles Hoover. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the Potter Family.
