Janice McKaig Kendall, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019. She was born in Rising Fawn, GA on April 27, 1940 to the late Leonard and Ruth Daughtry McKaig. She was a manager of Speedway and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Pennie Kendall, Frankfort, Ruthie (Dwayne) Kendall Hall, Frankfort, and Raquel (Anthony) Kendall Coke, Frankfort; her grandchildren, Kristina Scott, Anna Lynn, Joshua Barlow, and Brooke French; and her great grandchildren, Jailyn Barlow, Nalia Barlow, Jackson Scott, Madison Kendall Scott, Raegan Kathleen Scott, Lex Logan Lynn, Lana Lynn, Oliver Lynn, and Oaklyn Barlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley “Mac” J. Kendall and her brother, Lester “Butch” McKaig. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel. Jon Sutphin will be officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Dustin Scott, Jackson Scott, Anthony Coke, David Shaw, Roger Barlow, and Josh Lynn. Honorary casketbearers will be Dwayne Hall and Joshua Barlow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
