Ina Marie Fox (Shanks) went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2019 at 94 years old. Our mom was born in White Rock, Texas on November 6, 1924 to Forrest and Hattie Shanks. She married Ray Fox on March 21, 1946, in Graham, Texas. Together they enjoyed 61 years. They had two sons, Gerald D. Fox and Roger G. Fox. At the age of 43, our Mom entered the Odessa College LVN program and graduated. She passed her state board exam and became an LVN. She started her nursing career at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas, retiring in 1986. Ray and Marie then retired to Breckenridge, Texas to enjoy their life together. Ina is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Ray, and brother Cullen Shanks. She is survived by sons Gerald Fox and wife Sherry, Roger Fox and wife Debra; grandchildren Greg Fox and wife Cheryl, Angela Stanford and husband Greg, Jordan Ray Fox and wife Jen, Staci Walker and husband Kevin, Heather Dennis and husband Dusty, Chris King and wife Jackie, Joe Holloway, Brian Holloway and wife Amanda. 14 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren. Sisters in law Fay Turner, Watha Shanks, and Nola Fox. A graveside service will be held in Woodson, Texas cemetery on Friday, March 15, at 2pm.
