Henry Maynard Roark of St. James, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 peacefully at home at the age of 68. Henry was born on January 19, 1951 to the late Charles and Mildred (Veach) Roark. In September of 1972, Henry went into the Midway Restaurant, and met a young woman named Diana, this would turn out to be his lucky day, after dating for just two weeks, they married on September 18, 1972, they were blessed with two children and 46 years. Henry was a special man who felt his responsibly to his family and people he knew. He was a caretaker who adored his grandchildren, and was close to his cousins, and friends that he considered family. He worked for many years at Kingsford Charcoal in Belle, MO; when he wasn’t working you could find in the woods hunting for deer, and rabbits, or just walking in the beauty of the woods; he enjoyed camping and cooking outdoors for his friends and family. He was a very special and loving man that will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Henry M. Roark is survived by his wife, Diana, of the home; children, Charles LeRoy Roark, and wife Tammy E. of St. James, MO, and Tammy L. Roark, of Rolla, MO; grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Roark, Corbin Lee Berry, Llayton Michael Berry, and Karsyn Justice Berry; sister, Georgia Bryan, of St. James, MO; sisters-in-law, Stella Howell, and husband Paul, of St. James, MO, and Pam Wester, of Richland, MO; special Cousin, Jackie Cook, of Dover, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration to honor his life will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary at 6:00PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday prior to the service from 5-6PM.
