Helen Wright Gilfus Wednesday March 20th 2019

Helen M. Wright, 86, of Auburn, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Commons on St. Anthony, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wright was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late William H. and Florence Hazzard Gilfus. She was employed by Agway and General Electric, and also did child care in the Auburn and Weedsport area. She is survived by her sons Donald Updike of Auburn, and Mark Updike of Red Creek, her daughter Stephanie Wright of Conquest, her sister Patricia Burleson of Auburn, brothers John Gilfus of Weedsport and Robert Gilfus of Amber, step daughters Carol, Linda and Lisa, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Helen was predeceased by her husband James Wright, two sons Bill Updike Jr. and Charles Updike, two sisters Bernice Claar and Anna Gilfus and three brothers William, Harold and Lawrence Gilfus.
