Mr. Gerald Dale Carter, age 75 of Franklin, KY, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 9:32 PM at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Calvary Baptist Church. Gerald was born October 22, 1943 in Mercer Co., KY to the late Simon Carter and the late Pauline Vandiver Carter. He was preceded in death by a son Gary (Bub) Carter, a daughter and a brother Jimmie Carter. He is survived by his wife Betty, 3 children Tammy Sallee (Robert) of Harrodsburg, KY, Jessica Towe (Todd) of Franklin, KY and Paula Logue (Brent) of Harrodsburg, KY, 6 grandchildren Gary Thomas Popplewell (Julie), Channing Sallee, Curry Logue (Katie), Olivia Hazelwood (Logan), Zane Towe and Blaize Towe, several great grandchildren and a nephew Bobby Carter. Gerald was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until service time Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Calvary Baptist Church.
