Frank Bumgarner of Bedford, Texas January 9, 1928 – March 8, 2019 Clifford “Frank” Bumgarner, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed into the arms of his Savior on March 8, 2019 at the age of 91 after a brief illness. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Corinne Bumgarner, stepdaughter Patti Harrell, sons-in-law Tommy Attkisson and Bennie Holloway, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Rusty Bumgarner, daughter Darlene Attkisson, daughter Beverly Holloway, stepson Bob Ramsby; first wife Jean Bumgarner; grandson Chris Bumgarner and brother Don Bumgarner . Frank was born on January 9, 1928 to Clifford and Mildred Bumgarner. He served his country as a Naval Corpsman from 1946–1948. He retired from LTV in 1989 after many years of service. Frank was a resident of Irving, Texas for over 60 years. He was a founding member of the Bethel Methodist Church of Irving and has been a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church of Irving for many years. Frank lived a life of service to his country, to his family and to his Lord. He was a pillar in his community and the rock of his family. Frank’s faith in Christ never wavered, even in the midst of trials and grief. He lived life to the fullest, yet always looked forward to being in the presence of Jesus. Frank desired a simple funeral so a committal service will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. His good friend Rev. Jerry Perrill will officiate. Burial will be with military honors provided by the U. S. Navy. Those wishing to attend may meet at 8:00 a.m. Monday at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A funeral procession escorted by the Patriot Guard of Texas will leave Donnelly’s parking lot at 8:15 a.m. Monday. Or attendees may meet at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Lane 1 by 8:45 a.m.
